About Us
We Exceed Expectations
Driven by Purpose, Led by Experts
Unity Meals was founded by parents—and built by experts—to transform the way students experience food at school.
Our Story
In 2006, Freshlunches was born at a kitchen table in Los Angeles. It grew into a leader in premium school meals for private schools.
In 2020, Unity Meals launched to serve charter schools and districts with the same quality, heart, and mission. We maintain the highest standards of integrity throughout our company, from accounting to purchasing to on-site service. And we never waver from our focus on serving great-tasting, wholesome food. Our experienced and passionate people take care of every detail, giving you time to focus on what matters most: education.
With a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a passion for culinary creativity, Freshlunches and Unity Meals continue to set the standard for school dining experiences by ensuring that every meal is not just nutritious but also flavorful. Because when students eat nutritious food, they have the energy to get through their day and concentrate on learning.
Today, we have prepared over 16 million meals for children throughout the greater Los Angeles area—and we’re just getting started.
